What's wrong with lectins?
In this episode, Dr. Rodney and Karen talk about the dangers in seemingly "healthy" foods that you might be eating. If you are struggling with weight gain, stomach/digestive tract issues, auto-immune disease and/or swollen joints you might want to listen up.
What are lectins?
Lectins are proteins that bind to sugars and carbohydrates on the surface of most cells in your body. At the same time, they have no nutritional value because they are what the plant provides in order to keep pests away. The problems develop because your body cannot digest the lectins and tries to get them out of your body as quickly as possible through vomiting or diarrhea.
